We dropped our first game last night to Japan. We started out looking like we just got off the plane but our defense held strong so our offense had a little time to catch up. In the second quarter we took over and executed our offense really well but after half time our transition defense was not very sharp and we let them get a few easy looks. It is always feels crappy when you lose but we are a much better team from the last time we played Japan in Spain. Our offense was much faster and smoother than the first meeting. Defensively besides a single stretch in the third quarter we were pretty good.

Today we are changing hotels although we will still be in Nagasaki. En route to the new hotel we are going to stop and check out a little bit of history. We do not play today, just a practice to clean some things up.

We are all hoping that the internet is a little better at the next hotel. We have become so dependent on it as a means of communication. Trying to talk on skype with a bad connection is pretty frustrating.... you wind up only hearing about every third word. If you walked down our hallway you could hear us all yelling into the computer hoping that in some way we will make whoever is on the other side understand better. It is crazy to think that just 9 or 10 years ago we were traveling with the Canada direct phone number in our back pocket. Oh how times have changed?

Off to breakfast, then to start our day. Sionara
