After a great little day and a half break we were back on the court today. It felt like a pretty long day, we had a lighter practice in the morning followed by weights. As soon as we came down from weights the dreaded doping control officers were in the building. The lucky four were Courtnay, KD, Sho and myself (Kim). We were all pretty good even KD who normally takes a really long time was in and out quick today. I got to produce two samples, a prize for being properly hydrated (they test the gravity and it has to be above 1.005 mine was 1.004). Thankfully they capped it at two since my next one was 1.003. Jason our hydration tester from last summer would have been proud! Sho on the other hand may need to start drinking some more water. Lucky Elaine and Shannon got to wait around the extra hour for us to finish up before we headed to lunch.

We watched a little film later in the day and then went pretty hard at practice tonight. The first scrimmage was pretty good and then it turned into a hack fest. We were all fouling each other like crazy and complaining to our one ref (Allison). We will certainly be prepared for questionable refereeing when we get to Columbia. It is funny thinking way back to high school and even college days at times a practice like this would be carried off the court and cause some stupid argument... girls are the worst. So thankful that once you get older we are all able to laugh at our reactions and our fouls.

We did have to cut Janelle today. It sucks. She had a great summer and has been improving and playing well but unfourtanetly we can only take 12. We will miss Muffins for her mad skills on the court but also for all the little things she did off it. She has a great way of keeping things light and defusing a tense situation.

Our final roster:

Chelsea Aubry
Miranda Ayim
Teresa Gabriele
Kalisha Keane
Lizanne Murphy
Krista Phillips
Courtnay Pilypaitis
Kadie Riverin
Kim Smith
Alisha Tatham
Tamara Tatham
Shona Thorburn
