This morning we started the day with a little sight seeing tour of the city we are in. The population here is around 400, 000, it is an old ancient city according to our guides. We visited the bell tower and the drum tower both built around the 1400s. Then we walked through a little market and saw the city gate and old city walls. It was great to get out and see a little of the history. The whole thing was being filmed… apparently they are making a documentary. We already stand out as the only non-Chinese folks around these parts so it was pretty funny to throw in a TV crew.
Practice tonight was pretty light the gym was quite warm although it looked as though they were setting up some portable air conditioning units. Perhaps they realized the ice trick didn’t really cool down the gym. Hopefully the temperature is a little cooler in there tomorrow night.
Final game to wrap up phase 2 is tomorrow night!
