First day back.

Yesterday was a long travel day for a few girls with flight delays and cancellations. The good news is that everyone made it although we did have to cancel our 10pm meeting last night. The folks arriving at the Abbotsford airport were even greeted with a welcome sign and balloons courtesy of Ravens restaurant and their thoughtful manager!

All day yesterday our amazing physios Marcel and Joanie and doctor Doug were busy performing physicals. We went through a lot of strength testing and it's pretty funny to watch how upset we get if you tell us we are weak in one area. We will demand a retest! Nobody can be perfect so we all came away with areas we need to strengthen or loosen up. Our strength and conditioning guru Chad is going to personalize all of our programs so we can be at our best.

This morning despite everyone being tired we still managed to play way too fast... pretty impressive! The pace improved as practice wore on and we are back in the dorms icing up and resting for tomorrow.

Huge shout out to our Junior Women's National Team! They are 4-0 right now at the Junior World Championships in Chile. If you aren't following them, start http://chile2011.fiba.com/
