A tough loss today to Belarus. For the first time this tournament we started strong but made some silly turnovers in the first half. Our defense was pretty good but offensively we played slow and had trouble putting the ball in the basket. Every time we cut the lead it felt like we would give up a big play. We were out rebounded tonight by quite a bit, it is always deflating when you play great D and give up an offensive board.
While it is pretty discouraging we are moving on to the next round and have 6 more games to play! We know we are better than what we played tonight and we are thankful/ proud to be moving on!
GO Canada! We all believe you can make it through after this next round... you guys play hard and it is fun to watch. Keep fighting! You are making us proud.
