Drug testing.

I almost feel bad for the people who work for the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports. Every time they walk into a gym they are greeted by groans and looks of disdain. Right at the end of practice the CCES crew walked in and told us all to remove our right shoe. Randomly one of the men selected four players shoes; Meg, Kendel, Krysten and myself (Kim) were the winners.

For those of you readers who have never had the privilege of being drug tested I will quickly brief you on the process. You are under supervision from the time you are notified until you finish with your sample. Squatting down holding your cup while someone is bent down in front of you starring is awkward to say the least. It is not like you are going into the washroom to pee by yourself, stage fright is unavoidable. After you produce your sample you get to carry it into another room and fill out paperwork. Then your pour your sample into two different bottles and are free to go! In all we were a quick bunch today, all four of us finished in an hour and a half.

By the end of the procedure I always feel bad for my groans and death stares because the testers are always very nice people. I just wish they didn't have to come to our camps, my fingers are crossed they don't come back this summer. If they do please let them pick one of our 16 teammates laughing at our misfortune!

We are on tomorrow evening 5-7:30.
