Yesterday was a pretty long day. Wake up call was around 620 followed by a quick breakfast and then off to the gym for 645. Hope that all of you got a chance to watch us on Breakfast Television. It was so great to have them help us spread the word about our games against China. Following practice we ate a real breakfast and then off to lift with Chad. Everyone on the team took a pretty long nap before practice 2.
Livia Munro ( amazing team manager the last few summers) and her girls club team came out to watch practice. We love having teams come by. In fact they witnessed one of our better scrimmages to date. Our offence has started clicking and we are hitting people and cuts that we were not able to do last year. Pretty exciting to think of the growth of our team since we implemented our new offence a few summers ago.
This morning we wrapped up our last practice of the camp! The first five days were really long and drawn out but since then time has flown by. We are ready for China. Three games in three days, a players dream!
Perhaps the biggest news of the last two days is that T is back! Tamara Tatham is finally reunited with us. Her German club team went to the final possible play off date losing in game 7. The next day she was on a plane to Toronto. She spent a few hours at home and then was back at the airport to catch a flight out to Abby. So great to have her back even if she is really tired and jet lagged.
Be sure to come and check us out tomorrow night 7pm at Langley Events Centre. Wear red and cheer loud.
