Yesterday evening we scrimmaged the wildhawk boys team again. We were much improved from the first time! We still had a few too many turnovers, but we executed offensively and we were able to keep the boys in front of us on defense.
Thank you to everyone who came out, it was a great crowd. We love meeting all the young up and coming ballers!
After practice we had a reception with some famous alumni and outstanding sponsors. We were all very inspired listening to former MVP of the world championships Sylvia Sweeney. Despite just playing a game we were talking about lacing up our shoes and getting back on the court.
Today we went hard this morning... so hard practice was cut short! Afterwards we lifted and had the evening off. The local girls all headed home while the out of towners relaxed at the hotel.
Nikki Johnson ( former national team member who participated in 200o olympics and 2006 Worlds) came to practice this morning with her adorable little girl Phebe! It is always great catching up with old teammates!
