Greece.

A brief recap of our 11 hour travel day yesterday.

1:40- Take bags down to bus (no elevator)
2:00- Depart Lille for two hour bus ride to Paris
4:00 Arrive airport, grab luggage and head to check in
4:20- Print boarding passes
4:40- Head to one end of the airport to line up
5:00- Told we can not check in here so wheel all the bags back to where we first came from.
5:15- Told to wait for 20 minutes as we can not check in that early.
5:55- Told to go to another group check in spot about 200 yards away from where we initially tried to check in.
6:05- Find out it is incredibly expensive to travel within Europe with two bags. We have quite a few team bags. Spend the next 30 minutes throwing out what we don't need. This meant we finally got rid of our old uniforms!! These uniforms have been in the program for around 4 years. That may not sound long to you but they had a stench that we can't even begin to describe. The problem is after our final games these uniforms get stuffed into a small bag all sweaty and stay there for a few days before they can be laundered. Do this a few times a summer for 4 years and you have some sort of stench that can't be removed, no matter how many washes. A lucky French man was awarded all the extra jersey's that we didn't want to keep!
7:00- We are all checked in with just enough time to grab a quick dinner.
7:30- Time to board first flight.
9:00- Arrive Prague
10:00- Depart Prague
1:35 am- Arrive Athens
2:35am- Arrive at our hotel. This hotel has an elevator but there is only room for one person and one bag! Many of us decided to take the stairs, we are spread out between floors 2-4. After climbing 3 sets of stairs we arrive at level 1, only a few more flights to go. We all got a solid lift in lugging all of our team and personal bags up to our rooms.
3:00am- showered and in bed.
10:15am- Breakfast.
12:30- leave for practice.

We are all planning on going to bed quite early tonight.
