In response to the above question. There is no magical one thing, as far as training facilities go as long as the rims are ten feet high we are good! Our time in BC was great. It would be nice to play some more games against tougher competition, but we are expected to later in the summer overseas. Both Chile and Sweden allowed us to work out some early kinks in a new offense as well as build chemistry both defensively and offensively.
In a perfect world we would have a permanent training facility complete with cold tubs, weight rooms, large beds, and kitchens where we can make our own meals. But for now we realize how blessed we are to train at these universities as well as our other perks across the country with our Sport Canada membership.
In the past there have been times when we have not been afforded as much time together as we have gotten this summer. Most of our competition spends a majority of their summers together with their national teams. They also somehow have a way of all playing together on club teams in their native leagues. We've been very happy so far with how much time we've been able to have together. The added time only gives us an advantage when we play these teams.
Thanks for the question!
