Clean sweep!

The summer is off to a good start...5-0! We played our final game against Chile last night and won 74-38. Before the game there were a few ceremonies to thank Chile for coming up here to play us as well as cut the ribbon for the Richmond Olympic Oval's first internationl basketball game. It was great to be a part of history and we had another good crowd to cheer us on!

The atmosphere inside the Oval was neat, they drapped and sectioned off areas to create an intimate setting with the fans. Impressive given the size of the building! It took us a little bit to get used to shooting inside such a large space, you lose a little of your depth perception. Good news is we figured it out and the shots started to fall.

Today is the start of our two days off!! We have been training since June 23rd and just finished five games in six days. Our bodies and minds are excited to relax and recover. Some of the girls are headed to Vancouver for the two days, a few are taking day trips to Seattle. The rest are visiting with family and friends in the area.

We may post some videos or pictures in the next two days we will see how the days off go!

Thanks again to all the fans who came out as well as all those who watched it online!
