World's are this year :)

Hey everyone!

This is Kaela Chap wishing a very Happy New Year to you all! This is a very happy year indeed, because it's 2010, and we get to go to World's this year! I am so excited, and I have resolved this new year to be in the best possible shape heading into competition with our national team :)

I came back from Slovakia for Christmas, and was planning on heading back. Over the break, there were discussions with my club and I decided to not return. In the professional world, there's a whole business side to the game, and that's just how the way things go sometimes. I loved my time in Slovakia, I will miss my teammates and staff, and the supportive community of Ruzomberok. At this point in my career, this was the best decision for me to make. I'm really excited to spend some time at home, and train with some of Canada's finest... aka... Teresa and Leanne (and anyone else who heads out to the BEST COAST to train). I also get to take a little break from competition, so that I'm super fired up and ready to go this summer! Did I mention how pumped I am that World's is happening this year?!?!

I had a great holiday with my family and my boyfriend. Spent half of it in Abbotsford, and the other half in Seattle. It was a great time eating, laughing and just plain living :)
