Every summer our nation's top basketball players come together and tryout for the opportunity to represent Canada. This year our goal is to qualify for the World Championships next summer in the Czech Republic. The qualifying tournament will be held in Brazil from September 23rd until the 28th. Our draw was just announced today, we will play the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and then Brazil. We must come in the top two to advance to the semi's and a top three finish in the tournament ensures us a spot at the World Championships.
Our next training camp will begin August 2nd and will be held at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC. We will train there until the 14th of August and then we off to Cuba for a few friendly games.
